Math At Home

“What books are to reading, play is to mathematics,” Dan Finkel

Math practice at home can be fun and engaging for you and your student. There are many ways to involve your child in math practice at home. Playing games is an easy and important way to spend time together and build your students math skills, board games, lego, cards and math games are all great ways to do math together.

Some ways to do math at home as a family:

  • Play a dice, card or board game
  • Go shopping with cash
  • Cook and bake together
  • Build with blocks, Lego, k’nex or other building materials.
  • Design and build a blanket fort
  • Plan a day trip, vacation or outing

Look for games to play at home to be posted here or to come home with your student.
