Core Word – Joy

Posted on June 28, 2021 By Amanda Younger No Comments on Core Word – Joy

I love the idea of a core word to describe teaching, learning, or thinking. My first word that came to mind was not in the list provided to choose from. One of my goals is for my students to become deep thinkers and to use a variety of thinking strategies to think for themselves. Scrolling to the bottom of the list I found a word that also fits my goals JOY! This concept of finding joy or happiness in learning appeals to me. I am a huge fan of play as part of learning and see joy as inherently connected to play. I am excited to see where the concept of Joy in inquiry and learning can take me over the next few weeks.
