Many of the items were in my room when I moved in or were inherited from retiring teachers as they cleaned out their rooms. Having math tool boxes in student desks was new this year with the pandemic but the tool boxes are here to stay, students have the materials at their finger tips when they want to use them and I can ask that specific items be taken out for use in a lesson and it’s quick and seamless. The other tools are ones we use less often or our cusiniare rods which are too bulky in desks when we already have math tool boxes.
